Apprenticeships explained

A proven route to salon-ready talent.

An apprentice is employed by your salon while they train towards a nationally recognised qualification in hairdressing or barbering. Apprentices are part of your team, contributing to daily salon life, building hands-on experience and learning both practical and professional skills.

How apprentices learn
  • A paid employee, working a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • 20% of their time completing off-the-job training
  • One dedicated day per week at a Cheynes Training academy
  • Regular reviews with a Regional Training Advisor, then End-Point Assessment
